Eric-Maria Couturier MIXTUR 2023
This solo cello concert by the prestigious performer Eric-Maria Couturier takes us into a repertoire that brings together youth and experience. First, a work of reference in the repertoire for cello, the Sonata by Ligeti, a work from his youth that forms part of the tribute we pay to the composer this year on the centenary of his birth. Then we will listen to two miniatures written by participants of the Composition Workshop, and a work written by one of the teachers of this workshop, Isabel Mundry. Finally, Couturier will offer us an improvisation, a field he has been cultivating since forever and which also nurtures his technique and expressiveness.
