Free Impro Barcelona was founded in 2019 and set up as an association in 2021, with the aim of divulge free and experimental improvised music to enrich the quality cultural offer in the City of Barcelona and surroundings.

Due to the incipient growth of improvisers, the non-profit collective observe interest in evoking encounters, both musical and interdisciplinary, and opening them to the audience. In addition, to stimulate contemporary thinking and working for the professional recognition of free improvised art with the support of the public administration.

The implementation path is developed through an updated calendar and its mediatic fostering with events in the framework of free improvisation in Barcelona, also through a monthly mobile series of free improvised art, plus informative activities (workshops) related to the praxis in question.
