Sons en causa – Acció Sonora
Sons en Causa is a project based on an archive that Orquestra del Caos has been working on since 2009. Constantly growing, the Sons en Causa archive contains high-quality soundscape recordings made by Carlos Gómez and Josep Manuel Berenguer at the head of different teams in places in Latin America where human activities have experienced a remarkable increase in recent times. Acoustic sampling along routes between the areas most affected by human noise and those further away could give an idea of what the soundscape was like in these contexts before human influence transformed it as societies were made increasingly complex. It currently collects 1700 binaural audio recordings made in Latin America, at 24-bit resolution, 48kHz sampling rate and 20 minutes long.
With the participation of: Lina Bautista, Josep Manuel Berenguer, Matias Klenner, Anna Gatz and Ginebra Raventós de Volart.
Activity organized by Hac Te (Art, Science and Technology Hub) as part of the Digital Impact exhibition.
