Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble MIXTUR 2023

Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble is one of the ensembles selected in Mixtur Open Call 2022/23. Their programme emphasises some of the ensemble’s features like their interest in combining different artistic disciplines and their involvement in the essence of Mixtur. We will be hearing the works by two leading Portuguese composers such as Miguel Azguime (Sond’Ar-te artistic director) and Ricardo Ribeiro. Furthermore Sond’Ar-te Electric Ensemble will premiere two pieces commissioned by Mixtur which reflect their interest in new creation by composers Joan Gómez Alemany and Víctor Morató. This concert also strengthens the ensemble’s connection with the festival by presenting three miniatures by Composition Workshop students that also will be world premieres. We also want to point out that electronics as well as visual arts and video will play a prominent role in the concert as the ensemble’s name suggests. All of this sets up a unique programme specially designed for the occasion.
