Concert of the Guitars cycle
Under this title hides a series of pieces for electric guitar conceived from specific actions on the instrument and an extremely restricted harmonic material, articulated through the multiple interpretive variations provided by its performers. This series, started in 2019, acts as a springboard to explain, from a “less is more” perspective, a music forged from simplicity and with the fewest possible elements: a sound environment where sound, noise coexist ambient and silence. (un)folding strings shows the guitar at its most fragile and approaches it from an unusual sonic perspective; it refers us to a music forged from simplicity and in which silence sustains the musical discourse. And it is precisely in this supposed simplicity that the complexity of the work lies, both for the performers and for the listener.
